Book Name: The Vague Woman's Handbook
Author: Devapriya Roy
Price: Rs 199/-
What intrigued me to buy this book at the first place was the appealing cover design and the not-so-familiar name of the book. Here is a short summary on how I felt about the book:
SUMMARY:The book is about the lives of the two woman Sharmila Chatterjee in her early twenties and Indira Sen in her mid fifties who eventually become best friends and start solving each other's never ending problems over many coffees, chats, tarts and burgers. They are as the title suggests:Vague-bad with directions, never know when the credit card bill is due, extremely forgetful and so on...
Sharmila Chatterjee aka Mil's love of life Abhimanyu Mishra gives up his promising future to concentrate on what he feels is the most important thing, and Mil takes a zero semester to set up home and to get a job after their unpremeditated marriage. This hasty decision of their's has resulted in both their family's denial and their furious parents have abandoned them.
On the other hand Indira who is a senior Government officer lives with her only daughter and three old people including her own mother and is neck deep in credit card debt. She has no idea how she meandered herself into her present condition and is obsessed with her target of reducing her body weight which is sadly broken when she comes across a chocolate shop.
These two women become friends and start solving their life problems by giving suggestions to each other and sharing their darkest emotional secrets.
My Verdict:Personally I feel that this book is not much fun the reason being that I really wasn't able to connect with the characters in the book, especially 'Mil'. The only thought that kept me holding the book was-I have to write my first review on this book *darn*.I would categorize the book as another book with not-so-interesting content concealed under a glossy cover design. The amount for the book i.e, Rs199/- is not paid off well.
While some tiny parts of the book do impress you,the others fill you with boredom and shockingly you end up skipping pages*phew!*
My Rating: 2.5/5
In the love of these beauties: The following poem is dedicated to all those LOVELY High heels out there: And I solemnly swear that it comes from the depth of my heart.........
You are so gorgeous, you never fail to brighten my dull day,
You make me smile and keep my sorrows at bay...
I wear you even though my feet protest,
I love you even though I feel unrest...
When you are with me my spirits are high...
I conquer the world and touch the sky.
You help me keep those bad boys at bay,
When you are with me, I don't need pepper spray.
You make me feel happy and confident,
You hurt my feet I agree, but who doesn't?
When you hurt, you hurt my feet_they ache
When people hurt, they hurt my heart, it aches
When You hurt my feet, they ache, I cry...
When they hurt my heart I weep, moan,Die...
By far you are better and so I like you...
I find solace in you, you are who I look up to!!!

Shopping is a great mood booster for me! When I am in a bad mood
I just become a shopping freak and Voila! Even before I know it myself, I'm happy and trying what I have bought. Trust me it works.(and if you are a girl there's no denying it'll work for u too:))
Muraqba aka 'meditation' is another mood booster for me. When I'm lonely like to the deepest depth of my heart(so very deep:-( ) I just close my eyes and try to narrate my thoughts to my Pyaare ALLAH. I talk to him and share my deepest sorrows for I know he listens to me and will show me the right path. I LOVE YOU ALLAH...FORGIVE ME AND PLZ LOVE ME BACK...Well, back to the point, this always always, always is a great option! And trust me none other idea is better than this one!
You can't buy happiness but you can buy delicious food and that's kind of same thing...Innit? Well for me it is! I am a food junkie and just
"A friend in need is a friend indeed"-Darn! There I said it again! So when in a bad mood do the hoola la hoola la with ur friends! Din't get it??? OK Sorry, I meant go partying with your langotya yaars!!!! " A memory lasts forever, never does it die... true friends stay together and never say goodbye."
Now last but not the least...
COSMETICS! I often wonder and ask my self why women are soo obsessed with cosmetics..I love the looks GOD's given me n I pamper myself with lots n lots of cosmetics..n it sure's a mood elevator for me! When I am freaked out and angry with the whole world I demand: mirror mirror on the wall whoes the fairest of them all...(well not really_he he he:)
So friends don't let that bad mood spoil your day for
you. Life is short_spend it on a happier basis!

I Just loved this anarkali(love at first sight) and just couldn't stop my self from creating a look using it. What caught my eye the most was the awesome coat look this anarkali gives. The flair is awesome and small hues of pink here and there makes it just irresistible! I have paired it up with silky white pumps(the bow is so cute:)) For the jewelry I chose this statement ring, chic bangles and moonstone white earrings. Sport this ensemble and even those Bollywood chics are gonna envy you!!
P.S: But trust me you'll have to empty your whole months savings first>_<
P.S.S: If u liked my creation do comment and let me Know u dropped by:)
