6 Peppy Sonam Inspired Ways To wear The Saree

Better be out of the world than out of  fashion.
Sonam Kapoor Bollywoods own fashion diva explores and experiments with new styles . Sonam just loves having fun with her clothes and it is no secret that she always dresses to impress. The diva can glam up in both western wear and ethnic wear with equal elan making her a real inspiration and fashion icon in today's times.

Saree the most sensuous traditional Indian garment has been reinvented and modernized in several ways by fashion designers and these reinvented versions are a big hit with Bollywood celebrities . Deepika padukone, Sonam kapoor and Vidya balan are some celebs who just love flaunting sarees at events. While Deepika keeps it classy and minimal Vidya balan's style is boring and repetitive. Sonam kapoors styling of the saree is top notch fusion glam and she aims to give it a new spin every time she decides to drape it.
Are you a saree person who wants to flaunt the six yards everywhere you go without looking monotonous and repetitive? Then its time to take inspiration from style queen Sonam kapoor and up your saree styling game. Here I present to you 6 peppy ways to wear the saree the sonam way.

Saree with double pallu:
Sonam looked absolutely stunning in a custom double pallu Abu jani sandeep khosla saree while she promoted Neerja. The saree is draped very crisply with one pallu going over the shoulder like it does in a normal saree while the other pallu is draped around  the neck like a dupatta of sorts. The make up and hair do also makes this look fabulous. If you have a nikaah, pooja or a gurudwara wedding to attend wearing a saree like this makes sense where you can use the second pallu to cover head when required without disturbing the main pallu .

Saree with a Long jacket:
In a Rahul Mishra saree sonam promoted her movie on the sets of comedy nights with kapil . This saree was a normal one but the addition of long jacket spiced things up. Jackets with a saree isn't a new thing and many Indian designers have been doing this for quiet sometime now, but this look was fresh and sophisticated because of the pastel colours, length of the jacket and simple styling. This kind of look is perfect for a winter wedding .

Saree with a reverse drape: (back to front drape)
Giving a modern twist to the Anvila saree sonam draped it in the reverse way . I love how she looks refreshing and young here. The look was completed with addition of statement necklace, fishtail braid, a statement bangle and tan flats. This look could go about looking tacky on most other women but Sonam gracefully carries it off looking sweet and chic. If you want to try styling your saree this way, try it at a mehendi function . Also i feel a back buttoned blouse would be better choice for such a drape.

Saree with a peplum blouse:
Peplums have made their way into ethnic fashion and now you can find peplum cholis and peplum saree blouses too. Sonam kapoor in this Abu jani Sandeep khosla saree shows you just how to wear the peplum blouse right. I am loving the bright, peppy colours and long sleeves on sonam kapoor. The oxidized earrings and side parted braided hair work well with this look. Another look to try at a winter wedding, what say?

Saree with a sheer cape:
This pale pink Anamika khanna saree with a sheer cape sonam kapoor wore to the cannes red carpet is an absolute classic look which I think is one of her all time best looks. The make up, middle parted hair, choker and the clutch all come together beautifully to create a peppy desi look. This is a very interesting take on saree and these days capes are hot in trend being worn with sarees and even lehengas. My friend infact flaunted a cape with lehenga at her cousins wedding, more reasons to try the cape saree combination at the next wedding you attend.
