Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Walnut Scrub Review

04:06

Face scrubs are a must especially during summers. Due to the extensive rise in the temperature the  skin tends to sweat a lot, blocking pores and giving way to pimples and other skin allergies. This is when a good Face scrub comes in handy. They also get rid of dead skin giving your face a rejuvenating and refreshed feel.

I made a short trip to my Aunt's place in Hyderabad last week and as I write this review, I can't help but smile at the thought of all the wonderful memories this trip gave me. Travelling is a lesson in itself and the only thing I regretted about this trip was not carrying my Himalaya Herbals walnut facial scrub with me. I developed this strange allergy where my skin gets itchy and red at the slightest of irritations which could have been avoided if I carried this scrub with me.

Today I'll be sharing my experience with the Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Walnut scrub:

One word: Effective!

Packaging: The product comes in a white tube packaging with a tight green flip cap. The tube looks cute with the small orange details and is very travel friendly. The ingredients list, pricing and all other stuff is written on the back and front tube of the product.

Shelf Life: 3 years

Pricing: INR 70 for 50 ml

Fragrance: It smells like a walnut icecream with a medicinal and herbal hint to it. The fragrance is not overpowering.

Texture: The texture is dense and creamy which glides smoothly on a dampened face.

How To Use: Apply in a circular motion on the face and neck. Rinse off with water.

My Experience with the Himalaya Herbals #GentleExfoliatingWalnutScrub:

I picked up this product because of its 'Herbal' tag. My skin is super sensitive and very moody which gets irritated at the slightest exposure to chemicals. Being a blogger and social media evangelist I have a tight schedule which hardly allows me to take care of my skin. My skin is young and very sensitive, that's the reason I am fond of herbal brands like Himalaya.  I have used face scrubs from a lot of brands before but was not completely satisfied with  them. I wanted something which would not irritate my skin and effectively scrub off the dead cells plus moisturize it at the same time. This face scrub is all of it put together. The best part I love about it is that it leaves my skin glowing and smooth after every application. The glow doesn't last long but the fresh and smooth feeling is there for a whole day.
I was delighted that this scrub contains apple and wheat germ oil extracts too as those are very good for skin.  It's effective and true to its claim as it completely exfoliates the skin. The walnut granules present in this scrub effectively clean the pores. Just remember not to rub it very hardly as the walnut granules are quite prominent. I don't have any black heads but I did notice that all the tiny blemishes on my face slowly disappeared. It's value for money and a great product at this price.

Pros:
  • Formulated with Herbal ingredients
  • Moisturizing
  • Smoothens skin
  • Leaves a glow
  • Easily available
  • Value for money
  • Suitable for all skin types
  • Cleanses effectively
  • Does not irritate skin
  • Does not leave the skin dry
  • Has goodness of walnut and apples
  • Packaging is travel friendly
  • Removes oil effectively
Cons:
  • Not Paraben free.

What I love: The Himalaya Walnut face scrub can be used as a face wash too. It's a two in one face wash cum face scrub product which is a plus point when it comes to travel.

Do I recommend it to to you all?:
Totally! It's one of the finest face scrubs out there which is both effective and friendly on the pocket. I love it for the glow smoothness it leaves on my skin.
